About the Author
The Desolation Angel is Tim Wilson's second book. His novel "Their Faces Were Shining" was published in 2011. It was a finalist in the NZ Post Book Awards and has been long-listed for the International IMPAC Dublin literary award.
Based in New York City, but traveling widely in the United States, Tim Wilson is Television New Zealand's US correspondent. He has also worked as a correspondent for US cable show The IFC Media Project, and as a celebrity commentator for RTL, Europe's largest network. His writing has been published in The New York Times, The International Herald Tribune, The Guardian, The Guardian Weekend Magazine, and Newsweek.com. His journalism awards include the Duncan Campbell Award for Investigative Journalism and the Commonwealth Media Award. His short fiction has been published in Open City, Sport, The Listener and Metro magazine. He ghostwrote the autobiography of New Zealand's leading art forger, Karl Sim. A short film he wrote, Quid Pro Quo, premiered at the Hollywood Film Festival.
